TONEX Plug and TONEX ONE+ can both utilize Bluetooth to both control the different parameters via TONEX Control as well as playback audio from different Bluetooth sources. Follow the steps below to pair your TONEX device as a Bluetooth output device.

  • TONEX ONE+:
Hold the ALT button and A/B – BYPASS footswitch for 3 seconds to begin pairing. To exit pairing press ALT or A/B BYPASS again.
  • TONEX Plug:
Hold the Volume + and Volume – buttons together for 3 seconds to begin pairing. To exist pairing press any control on the TONEX Plug.

When using your TONEX device with different instruments, you may need to adjust the signal that instrument is sending to your Tone Model (post A/D). This can help get a consistent result with different input sources when using a TONEX device.

For example, if you feel the current Tone Model is not being hit as hard, or not producing the amount of drive/gain expected – you can try increasing the Trim value. Alternatively, you can also turn this control down if you feel a Tone Model is reacting with too much gain. For example, if your usual clean preset is getting too close to breakup.

  • In the TONEX Control application open the Menu > Settings.
  • Find the Input Trim control and adjust this as needed.

While most modern devices are compatible, the TONEX Control application will require Bluetooth 5.0 or later. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support is required. Additionally, your device will need to meet the following operating system requirements.

  • Android Devices:
Android devices running Android 14 or later.
  • iOS Devices:
iPhone and iPad devices running iOS 16.0 or later.
